The After Story
To maximize the usable space in this Randolph pool area, the homeowners added a patio and built a new wall extending a little farther on the property. The patio replaced a small concrete surround.
A stone staircase leading to a new gate makes a more dramatic entrance than the previous railroad-tie steps.
Wooden steps lead down from a deck that adjoins the house to circular landings.
Beyond the fence, homeowners reclaimed a view of the wooded expanse of their property by transplanting trees that blocked the view.
